I’m a creative technologist and Operations Manager based in Central Illinois.

I’ve spent my career asking the same question at different scales: what is this actually supposed to do for the person using it? That instinct started in the Air Force, got sharpened in broadcast automation, and now drives everything I build or maintain — from enterprise projects to indie apps for photographers.

I recently launched Blackdaw Media LLC, building focused tools for creative people who want less friction between an idea and capturing it. Intent Photo Notes exists because I wanted to record why I took a photo, not just the settings.

I also shoot — infrared, street, wildlife. Anything that makes me stop and look until I understand what I’m actually seeing.

That’s the same instinct. The “lens” just points in different directions.
